A little bit about your teacher:
My name is Mrs. Bosio and I absolutely love what I do! This is my third year teaching, and I have a lot of energy and excitement for educating. This is my second year teaching fourth grade here at Sycamore Creek Elementary School. I live in Chapel Hill, but am originally from the beautiful Smoky Mountains of NC, in Franklin (west of Asheville). My husband, Jeff, is in his last year of Pharmacy School at UNC, and we have no children or pets. We love going on walks or runs in the woods, traveling, cooking, painting, and going on new adventures! I graduated with my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Catawba College. While I was there, I also worked to receive a minor in Spanish! Perhaps our class will learn a bit of Spanish throughout the year. I also played on the women's tennis team at Catawba, which was a fabulous experience for me. What to expect in our class: A firm, but fair teacher, who loves to do projects, interactive lessons, and unique learning opportunities. I have lots of fun activities planned for our class this year, and I am excited for them. My biggest hopes as an educator are to cultivate a kind and compassionate classroom full of students who care about others as much as they care about themselves. It is my belief that when there is a group of students who have positive relationships with each other, that growth and acceleration in learning will result. I will not tolerate any rude comments toward any person within the classroom, and in fact this is the quickest way to upset me! We will learn many things, and I anticipate that by the end of the year each student will look back and be in awe of themselves and what they have accomplished. Here's to a MAGNIFICENT, WONDROUS year! :) If you EVER have any questions, comments, or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me. It is my desire to do whatever takes to help each student succeed, so if you have any suggestions or ideas, I am open ears! My email address: [email protected] |
Birds at our WeddingMy parents surprised Jeff and I with doves at our wedding. My face says it all!

HikingThroughout my life, I have hiked through a total of about 50 different mountains or waterfalls. Many of my free weekends are spent doing exactly this.

SNOW SNOW SNOW!I LOVE snow... I ADORE it. Any time it snows, I want to spend as much time as possible outside enjoying it! Sledding, making snow cream, walking through wintery woods.... ahhh.
